Wow, if you are really that desperate to get back to Japan, one of the easiest ways (I hear) is to come over on one of those home stay visas. I don't know much about them, but I have heard that there are companies that sponsor people to come to Japan on a cultural activities visa. Not sure of the duration either, but you can do a home stay, or what they call a farm stay. I don't really know how old you are, so maybe you could, If you are in the UK or AUS or CAN to come over on a working holiday visa. Then, while you are here, and if you are finished college, you can work on finding a sponsor for a working visa. Or, while you are here, you can find a girlfriend and get married. Actually, that is what I did.
I know how you feel. When I left Japan, I was deathly homesick for Japan. One day in the US, I was watching TV, scanning the channels and I landed on Sesame Street. And they were doing a special program, and all the characters were in Japan. It brought tears to my eyes.
Best wishes, buddy.

I do understand how you feel as I had almost the same time when I was in Europe a few decades ago. What I did when I got homesick was to eat Japanese food, to read Japanese book, to listen to Japanese music. (Those days, there was no DVDs or video movies....) I am sure there are many Japanese institutions in Vancouver. Drop by any of them and physically feel anything Japanese.
I am not sure what they are doing up there but would you try this site http://www.geocities.co.jp/wallstreet/1915/
This is a website of Greater Vancouver Japanese Immigrants Association. I think there are many Japanese Canadians who miss Japan so much, and they might have some society or meeting for them.
I am sorry this cannot be a good help but wish you Ganbatte!

â¡You should seriously consider getting your degree then you can get a job teaching English here in Japan. Your employer will then take care of the visa part for you as well as other details.
ORï½You could marry your Japanese girlfriend and then live here on a spousal visa and eventually try and apply for citizenship... You can then also work here.
I would suggest that you don't 'rush it' though. Do it right and it'll be worth it.(*^o^*)
ï½âGood things come to those who wait J is H.(^_-)-â
You're still really young so get your degree and then get yourself over here where you belong!
Also, have you checked this out yet?? Please do!â¡

Know the feeling man. I did two years of my undergrad in Osaka and then another year for graduate study (thesis work, come up with whatever obscure topic you want, heh). I've been playing around with the idea of getting my citizenship there in a few years, but...then I'd loose my British citizenship because Japan doesn't allow for any dualing. Sucks.
