where can i find information about a 1982 or 1983 child abuse case that reported in New York?

there was a burglary reported and a dog lead them to three children in a trash compactor. 5 yr old was dead. it was two girls and a boy. happened in New York was tried in Sacramento Ca. and parents were later caught in Tulare Ca.

Try contacting the NYT librarian. You might have to pay for some sort of search service on the NYT site. Also, check with the Sacramento Bee the same way.
