there was a burglary reported and a dog lead them to three children in a trash compactor. 5 yr old was dead. it was two girls and a boy. happened in New York was tried in Sacramento Ca. and parents were later caught in Tulare Ca.

the newspapers keep archives of the news that they report under a keyword search.. you can call the newspapers to see if they will run a search. other wise try the NY public library. they would have the newspapers index and be able to check for that article.
you would have to do the same for articles from each California city
