From the book, I have learnt of...
1. the importance of having friends.

2. keeping hope and faith at hand.

3. sacrificing for your friends (Ron did so during the chess game)

4. sacrificing for the goodwill of others (Nicholas Flamel had destroyed the stone to prevent Voldemort from taking it again, although it costed him his life.)

5. Being kind and thought ful to those in need.(Hagrid helped Harry during the first few chapters)

6. Playing fair (during Quidditch)

7. Bravery (Harry braved through the many diffficulties to reach the stone)

8. Love(Voldemort could not touch Harry because of Harry's mother's love)
