my LAST holiday, was, - quite POSSIBLY, - the most EXHILARATING trip, that I could, EVER, have imagined!

Two years ago, - just a couple of days, after my BIRTHDAY, - my sister, and brother-in-law, told my MUM, and I, that, - EIGHT WEEKS, after that date, - we would be boarding an AEROPLANE, to go WITH them, to a place, that, - until THAT point, - I had only, DREAMED of visiting, - the World-famous "DISNEYWORLD", in FLORIDA!

The WHOLE EXPERIENCE, - which was, ONLY, SEVEN DAYS, long, - was like a DREAM COME TRUE, for me! I set OUT, to achieve just THREE ambitions, - to HEAR the American National Anthem, played, - to meet my "DISNEY HERO", - THAT being "TIGGER", - and, LASTLY, I wanted to see a BALD EAGLE at CLOSE RANGE!

I achieved ALL THREE, on the SAME DAY, of that trip! And, what's MORE, - I got the PICTURES, - AND VIDEO, - to PROVE it!

Although, I am an ENGLISHMAN, the FACT is, that, - as the "STAR-SPANGLED BANNER" was played, - and, I SANG the words, - with HAND ON HEART, - TEARS of ABSOLUTE PRIDE, and JOY, rolled down my face! This, being so, I was ASKED, by a man, whom I had NEVER MET, in my LIFE, what PART of the U.S., I had COME FROM!

I replied, that I was NOT, and American, and told him, that I was on holiday, from ENGLAND, and he held out a VERY FRIENDLY handshake, - as he told me, that:- "SON, - IF THOSE TEARS SAY ANYTHING, TO ME, - THEY TELL ME, THAT, - IF ONLY, FOR THE DURATION, OF YOUR VACATION, - YOU ARE, - MOST DEFINITELY, - TO CONSIDER YOURSELF, AN HONORARY AMERICAN CITIZEN!"

I was WELL aware, that the STAFF, - called "CAST MEMBERS", at "DISNEY", - were all EXTREMELY HELPFUL, - but they, - ALL, - actually, SUPERSEDED any expectations, that I may have HAD, - by THE LONGEST distance, known, to Mankind! Throughout THAT week, I felt, - and was TREATED, - like a GOD!

I love getting out and about in a new place. I love learning things about the place I am in. When I was in China recently, a friend referred to me as the 'uber-tourist'. I will go out on the 'tours' that a city provides but also take the time to explore it on my own time- eating where the locals do, experiencing new things is all part of the thrill. The contrast between the two is always fascinating and experiencing a different way of life is always a bonus. On a great holiday, I would prefer to be travailing by myself and have a friend in the area that I could catch up with when it suits because I love alone time. A great holiday would also have enough time for me to have 'days off' to relax. There's nothing worse than getting home and being exhausted. Lying on a beach for two weeks seems like a nightmare to me though. I need to be doing something.

My idea of a great holiday is spending it with my family and a few friends. I don't like going anywhere at all. I just like staying in all day talking and watching movies. Of course eating is a big part of a great holiday too.

Holiday as in vacation, or as in Christmas? If it's like Christmas...it's about being around the family you do like, and not being around the family that you don't like. Also...don't have any expectations...just live in the moment.
