I don't have a pistol, two shotguns, 5 rifles, and a pellet rifle. Honest.

Crime went up after the sixties when gun owners were forced to give some if not all of their rights away. Criminals that have guns are the ones that don't need to have them. Private gun ownership by lawful citizens should remain legal! It is designed to protect your own life, loved ones and property! It is a proven fact that states that have Right To Carry Laws and less stringent gun ownership laws have less crime. Do-gooders that advocate for the abolishing of guns, should be looked at very carefully and the real motives challenged in them wanting to strip Law abiding citizens of their weapons, unless they are criminal, suffering from Altzheimers or mentally challenged.
Our current military is stretched to its limits and rapid deployment for several worse case senarios at the same time. Hurricane Katrina proved that. What would you do if there was an invasion from another country, while all of the troops deployed. Supposing your kid is being attacked by a bear in your own backyard? Or an alligator in your swimming pool, about to make a munchie out of Fluffy? Get real. If the government cannot trust its own people to make judgment calls in this area then why even bother? See Red Dawn the movie, don't say it couldn't happen.
I will not give up my Second Amendment Right and those that advocate for you not to have a gun, don't deserve to have any rights at all. As further punishment should be turned loose in the Amozon without one and see if they change their mind about personal gun onership! That is what every fascist nation did, before they started taking away all the rights of their citizens. Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and the rest of those despots did it, to make sure the people did not beat them silly and establish a real government, of by and for the people in an equal balance of power against tyranny and genocide!

First off if the Government came to collect my guns they would be met by gunfire, and they could have my guns after they pry them from my cold dead hands. Secondly you say that no foreign country is going to invade us, you are wrong their are millions of illegal Mexicans and other countries people here now. Illegals kill 25 Americans a day and dumb liberals think nothing of it. Guns are needed not only for self defense and hunting but also to keep the Government from becoming tyrannical, which is where the liberals want to take this country. People need to learn to be more self sufficient and depend less on Government for their needs.

Well seeing as it's not the 1700s anymore and there's NO chance of a foreign nation's army invading... uhh... how is this even up for debate?
Any sensible person knows there's really no need for firearms, yes even ones for hunting, go use a bow or a trap.
I've never turned on the news or opened the paper and saw "Dozens of lives saved by man with gun!", "Disaster avioded by gunplay!"
Time to update the constitution. Yeah that's right I said it.

I would hand over my gun. There are really too many rednecks out there for this to actually happen. Gun laws are designed to take guns away from bad people. There are also some automatic weapons that have no place in a civilized society.......
You gun freaks are too fuc*in paranoid. Nobody's taking your gun away unless your a convicted felon. If you are then you lost the right to carry one.

I would comply. I would calmly let them know I'm going to unload them first. After they've taken all my ammo, they can come get my firearms.

I don't worry about it. I buy used guns from individuals and pay cash.
