i always used aquariums with mesh tops. the critter trails are cool with all the connectors they come with, but becouse the are nocturnal they will hide in the tubes all day and you won't be able to get them out to play with him or be able to put him in the ball. so those cages are not as much fun, and way harder to clean. if you get a big enough aquarium he will have plenty of room for really cool toy. but cages as loong as they give him room are really preferance of the owner.

thats a syrian hamster u got there!! They are usually better off on there own as they can fight with others which often leads to the death of one of them. There are many suitable cages out there and rotastak can be one of them they are very spacius and have alot of activities to keep the hamster occupied when your not there. I would also recommend getting a hamster ball as this can give them extra exercise and be a fun way of putting them somewhere when u clean them out.

That is an extremely cute golden syrian hamster. You need a cage like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Richmond-wire-hamster-cage-wheel-house-tubes-pet-pets_W0QQitemZ200087987702QQcategoryZ1286QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem though not any smaller than this. A pet shop will sell you anything, make sure its big enough.
Rotastak are ok, but again they can be small when you buy the kits so make sure you give him enough room.

He is a Syrian hamster. Very cute one too! =) I wouldn't recommend Rotastak as the tubes are quite small and there's not very good ventilation. I'd have a look at Crittertrail or the Imac Fantasy cage.

He/she is a little Syrian hamster. Get him as big a cage as you can afford and some toys to play with - climbing things, a wheel to play in, carboard tubes to run through and chew to pieces etc. Remember though - one hamster, one cage - they dont live happily together and will fight to the death. Aren't they cute? Just love 'em!!

Ah he is cute, he looks like he is posing for his picture!
I would say as someone else did, get the biggest you can afford. The Rotastak are quite good as they have lots of different places for your hamster to explore, but they are quite expensive.
Maybe ask in your local pet shop, try and independant one, rather than a chain.

Looks like a golden hamster, just get an average sized cage so he'll have space to eat sleep and play, it you can get a cage with tunnels even better because they like to climb through them.

He is a syrian hamster also called golden hamsters.

Basically buy the biggest cage you can afford and that will fit in your house.

I had a rotastak with my hamster and she loved it. The most important is too get lot's of hamster chews. Mine was obbessed with chewying the metal bars at the top station of the rotatstak.

he is a large hamster so a nice big cage, maybe a wire one where he can climb up and down.
