i have to do a 3 part warm up that includes a ball

Warm up should include mobility, pulse-raisers, and stretches, the pulse raiser should be the one that includes the ball, just get them to dribble a couple of times at a jogging pace round the court.
Then move on to coaching the techiques for chest pass and shooting. This can then be implemented inot a 2-on-2 game involving chest passes and shots.
Warm down should be gentle with the aim of lowering the pulse and stretching the lactic acid out of the muscles.
Hope this helps mate

why not try to tell them first a lil history about the game. How it became basketball, who discovered it, what were the circumstances that led to the game..among others.
