Yes, the rock begin its formation from magma or lava forming igneous rocks by weathering conditions the rocks change to sedimentary rocks and then by the effect of temperature and pressure the rock metamorphosed at different grades and at the highest grades where eclogite rock forming after that the result rock cannot be stay as its solid state and the anatexis process take place the rock become liquid as a magma and the rock cycle will occur another not one time it may be more than one time

Since igneous rocks start out as molten, I suppose lava flows over them again they will remelt in the heat....(same with metamorphic if it began as igneous).
Doesn't look likely for the sedimentary rock!

well that is why it is call the rock cycle. after metamorphic it turns back to molten rock after it is heat and melted and that is where igneous start molted and then to a cooling off stage.
