Man of Steel was approved as soon as SR hit theatres, it was planned for a 2009 release, but apparently singer has been contracted for a WWII film about a failed Nazi coup and attempt to kill Hitler, whether it will postpone the release as well as filming i haven't heard, Rumors state Lex will be involved in the B story while the main focus will be an Alien, possibly Brainiac

This is a question that is on many minds of late. I have heard a rumor that they will do one more Superman movie before they try out the Dooms day Story. The argument from the producers was that the world was not yet accustomed to to seeing Brandon Routh as Superman, so killing him as Superman was not an option until his 3rd film. the Doomsday story is said to be planned to stretch over 2 films. in the first Superman will die, and in the second he will return again more powerful than before and defeat Doomsday once and for all. NOTE: a costume change may come as per the comics.

Not sure about Doomsday, but I heard the next one will be about an alien invasion. Superman vs aliens sounds pretty cool.

I don't care because I thought Superman Returns was the worst movie I've ever seen.
