I guess trends do come back. The girls in the late 60s wore their makeup exactly like that... You have a great talent for application, but your color choice takes away from your lovely eyes. If you even just softened with a black/brown or dark brown instead of black liner and a medium color shadow in brown or grey, those green eyes would pop even more.
But overall, you are expressing yourself and bravo.
Your style will change many times in your lifetime. Each time you are discovering more about yourself. If you are channeling your inner go-go girl right now.. then have fun with it :)
And, hey, kudos for not adding a bright lipstick. Concentrating in one area helps alot.
And, by the way, witches don't necessarily wear a lot of makeup. Jeez, I hate when my religion is categorized negatively as looking any certain way.

Ouch some of these people are mean! I think that you do wear a little too much but hey you are young and expermenting. We have all been there and tried something new. You will grow out of it if you don't like it, just don't allow others to tell you how you should look. If you are happy and like how you look that is what should matter. Pleasing others could just make you less happy, make sure what you do makes you happy!

I think you are actually distracting from your beautiful eyes by applying so much eye makeup. The focus I actually on the makeup instead of your eyes. I think makeup should accentuate your features not be the center of attention. I'm not saying you have to go all natural there are fun ways to play with makeup and color without looking too overdone.

Don't go to a job interview like that, you won't get the job.
But if you go into a EMO club without that look, you'll be stared at as if you were a talking horse. So it is situation dependent, and I find it looks good on you.
Are you sure your parents have problems with your makeup and not with something else (say, favourite music)?

Well, I'm a cranky old lady of 52 years, but I think you're wearing FAR too much makeup on your eyes. You look absolutely plastic - like some sort of Halloween mask. Why do you want to look that way; you appear to have your own very nice face underneath all that - why not make the most of it instead of covering it up?

Yup. Using too much makes ur eyes pop out too much.
Makeup's purpose is to enhance ur appearance by covering up the bad n highlighting the good.
On the 2nd pic, ur eyes reminded me of chuckie.. sorry..
Try thinner lines ard ur eyes, slightly thicker lines on the top lid starting from ur pupils to create an illusion of having almond-shaped eyes (perfect eyes).
Lightly dab dark eyeshadow ON the lines, and lightly blend higher if u want to, but not too high, limit dark colors to below ur eye 'bone'..
And then try a light pink shimmering lipstick, bcos u look pale in the 2nd pic too.

Yea you do. I think you'd look prettier w/ a more natural looking eye make up. You should watch What Not To Wear, Carmindy, the make-up dresser for the show, does unbelievable work there that makes you look fresh and beautiful w/ her makeup style ... It really enhances their natural beauty too.

Hi Allyssa,
I think you are beautiful. Make up is for women who need to look close to beautiful when they aren't naturally. Try toning down the eye make-up a bit. You have gorgeous eyes. Try a thinner line of kohl rather than your usual all-over-the-place thick line type.
Goodluck!
Yvonne.

For an everyday look, your make up is very dramatic especially for the day time. If you're going out for the evening, it wouldn't be such a big deal. I'd suggest toning it down especially with the eyeliner.

Wow, you are really pretty, you know how to do your hair amazingly, however, your make-up, is just a little to much. Maybe cut back on the black, and go for thinner lines, and try different colours like beige, and then you can still be creative with it.
