If you are using a CD-rw disk then you can use the writer software to delete or format the contents of your disc.

You may also burn new info to the disk. The old info will be over written with the new info. All depends how you set the setting in your software for the CD writer.

Most CD software will request if you would like to erase the info currently on a disk before writing new info.

For example if you are using Nero burn, there is an option that can be used to erase the info on the disk.

Hope this info can help.
