My son just vomited up all over the carpet (why not the tiles!) and it's only curdled milk, if that helps at all! Thanks for any suggestions.

Try just 'washing the carpet' out with as much 'warm water' as it will 'aborb' and 'soaking it up' with a towel ... as many times as you can, until you can't see any 'sick' on the floor. Then try some 'lemon juice' mixed with 'warm water' and do the same thing to the same spot for at least four times ... and open ALL the windows to get rid of the 'bad smell in the air' and you and your 'carpet' should be fine ... and I hope that your son is fine, too, of course.

Products for cleaning up after a pet are usually good at getting rid of smells. If the smell doesn't go away after cleaning in about 24 hours, clean a larger area, you probably missed some. The smell won't go away if there's some on the wall, or other furniture etc in the area.
Good Luck!

Sure try this method, Borax is also known for its odor-fighting properties, especially urine odors caused by pet or child accidents. Use borax to neutralize urine odors from mattresses, carpet and upholstered furniture. Simply dampen the affected area, sprinkle with borax, rub into the stain and let dry. Brush off or vacuum to remove the borax when dried. Be sure to test an inconspicuous area when using this method, particularly when using on carpet and furniture! This method also removes stubborn sour milk odors, too. Good Luck !

eeeaw nothing worse than curdled milk i would make a paste out of baking powder or bicarbanate soda leave for a couple of hours that should do the trick....
no need for expensive products and better for the enviroment ...always use what you have got you dont need the things youve not

Try a bottle of fizzy soda water sounds really silly i know but it takes it all up. My son had reflux when he was a baby and he was sick all the time - unexpectedly and the soda was a godsend! just pour on, scrub then when dry spray with a little febreeze or even perfume! it works honestly... give it a go chick! x

Baking soda is the best thing. Clean up the mess as best you can, sprinkle the soda liberally, then leave for a while. Vacuum up after a few hours and it should be better. BTW, hope he's feeling better!

Dettol and lots and lots of water! my daughter was ill at the weekend and hit the rug with the initial wave. use water and dettol together to get the worst of it out you can see then get a fresh batch and soak it thru then blot it. you might need to leave a towel down for walking on for a few hours but it works wonders!
