compared to other developed nations why our government is not giving our footpath a facelift beautify it and keep enough litterbaskets with cover and strict penalties to offenders those who misuse it? why they always let violators carry on their business on footpaths and turning a blind eye on common men's voice? why the parking facilities are not given like token polls like europe USA like if some one parks his vehicle put money according to the time they park their vehicle and that money is used in taking care of the parking lots?why some local contractor with the blessings of corporator conducts business in some places the local dada employ a man with paltry payment collects the money and vanish with the help of local law protecters u know them !!!with stick in hand but always attend late at the scene!!!the wireless van will be present near the hawkers, panwallas, pireted c.d,v.c.d sellers, narial paniwallas, sugarcane juice vendors, bajiwalas(they occupy a bigger place of footpaths) ???

Sir

Yoy are 100% right. There is no government at sight in India and this is also 100% true and you will kindly agree with me on this point.

Our Government first needs a serious face lift before they are in a position to look into such trivial things like removing of the encroachers from the foot path. This is one serious problem but to what extent. We do not have footpaths in so called big cities like Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkata or Chennai and even if we have some, they are dwelling places of all such people you have metioned or people would put a guard room on the footpath at their gate or even park extra cars they possess only to the annoyance of the people who like to walk. For old people it becomes very difficult and unsafe if they have to walk on the road as footpaths hardly exist.

This is the most pathetic situation in India and more so in Delhi the capital of India.Anybody may hit you from behind as the people sitting behind the wheel are so reckless, unconcerned about old people, ladies and children and most irresponsible being educated for the sake of education only.

Likewise parking lots are nothing but dens of evils. The Government does not have any ears to listen to these problems in comparision of bigger problems of their losing the chair and benifits and corruption which is rampant in their nerves and blood that they have anytime to look into these. They may only realise the seriousness of problem once they have been hit from behind while walking along the road or their car has been quietly taken away by someone for a ride.

Well we can not compare ourselves with advance countries for some basic reuirement which we truly lac:-

1)Character-which we don't possess.
2) Moral values we have none.
3)National feeling or devotion we have ziro.
4)Truth and sacrifice we have none.
5)Contribution to our nation we have none.
6)We are born for self-and let others go to hell is principle of
most of the people.
7)We do not believe in love, peace and brotherhood.

Then how do we go a head-I think nowhere and multiply ourproblems day by day instead.

I may add here that there is only one place in India which has very good and wide footpaths which are totally free form any encroachments and people can walk on these for miles and miles together without any hindrances and the place is SHILLONG,a beautiful Hill Station, which is capital of Mehgalaya and IS KNOWN AS THE SCOTLAND OF THE EAST in its true, beauty, clenliness and attitude.

I feel people from India should visit Shillong to learn how the local people consisting of the 3 tribes Khasis,Jaintia and Garos maintain thier State. It is a fire of love and their whole heartdily dedication to develop the State.

It is the only palce in India WHERE ON 2ND OCTOBER EVERY YEAR people come out of their houses and clean the whoole state,be he a minister or an officer, they all minlge with the people and treat them alike.

This type of devotion and should open the eyes of one and all.I am totally with you that our Government has to DO SOMETHING OR GIVE UP TO THE PUBLIC TO HANDLE THE WORST GOING SITUATION I THESE AREAS.

May the Almighty save us from this hopeless situation at the hands of a few greedy, selfish and mindless people.

Do not fight, make them understand. After all they have every right to earn a decent living. If we drive them out of foot path without ensuring a livelihood, they would become criminals. This is more dangerous.

keep fighting my man they will soon hear you... the government world wide needs to open their ears to us all or they will realise the hard way that all these riots are caused by governments not listening and so on.
