I find the Halifax a good bank, shopping online with a visa card gives you most protection as they cover purchases that 'disappear'

if you have chase where you live visit them if not, go to WWW.CHASE.COM and find the right card, usually a good rate is one under 14%, get VISA or MASTERCARD they both has on-line protection and no one else, these are serious institutions, and you don't need the basic account, if you do open another account in another bank, so this way you can pay the chase credit card.

Nearly all banks offer this. You did not specify where you are from. If you're in the US, then try Wachovia. I use USAA but only certain people are entitled to use them.

Avoid Bank of America... period. *shudders*
