I have dark marks around the top of my arms, near my armpits...

I need to get it lightened, back to my normal skin colour..

Mainly for my wedding which is in 2008, as you can see if when I wear the dress...

Is Bio Oil any good? What other products are on the market? How long will it take to go..? I would prefer products without bleach..

Bio Oil is good.
However, I totally believe in Vitamin E oil.
I had burnt marks up my right hand/arm caused by taking things out of the oven.
Used to be a cook for a living.
My burnt marks stayed with me for a long time as I have pigmented skin being Asian.
On discovering Vitamin E oil, I learnt that it is not just its beauty properties but healing too.
My burnt marks have now disappeared.
I also have a smooth well conditioned skin.
You could try this see if it works for you.
I get mine from Holland & Barrett.
They are normally £5.99 for 74ml.
At the moment they are on offer for £2.69
You have nothing to lose.
You will have smooth skin if nothing else.
Good Luck!
Congratulations!

Slice a lemon put gauze over it and tape it on before bed it will lighten eventually blemishes. I know they sell a product in New Zealand called Thin Lizzy's natural glow it's not really expensive about $60 and it covers blemishes a container last a year. It's not make up there might be a site on the net It's not a make up that will rub off like a foundation.and it looks natural and blends with your natural skin tone.A lot of people swear by it as it also covers, Rosea , Scars, birthmarks and skin pigmentation's. Congratulations on your wedding next year

Get Rid Of Blemishes

CLEAN!
Wash your face with a gentle, oil- and fragrance-free cleanser; preferably a nondetergent one labeled pH balanced.
If you have oily skin all over your face, use a cleanser that contains benzoil peroxide or salicylic acid.
Don't scrub - irritated skin swells around the pores, which can cause breakouts.
Skip toner unless your face is very oily, otherwise it might dry out the skin.

TREAT!
Apply a topical acne treatment containing benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid over your entire face, not just where blemishes have already erupted.
At night, use a drying spot-treatment product and dab oil-free moisturizer on dry areas.
In the morning, apply an oil-free sunscreen gel over the entire face.

CONCEAL!
Use a small makeup brush to dab concealer or cream foundation (in the exact same shade as your skin) directly onto the blemish. Use a fingertip to wipe away excess concealer around the blemish and, if necessary, apply another coat of concealer.
If the makeup becomes cakey, carefully wipe it off and start over. gently brush powder (in the exact same shade as your skin) on top of the concealer.

ummm i dont really know how to make them go away but if you cant get them to go away by your wedding use any of the concealers that are green.... yes i know your saying GREEN?... but it works GREAT... i have a Huge scar on my knee from having and ACL replacement and my doctor messed up and my scar is about 2 cm wide but when i want to wear my lil skirts and shorts i put the green concealer on then i put my liquid foundation that matches my skintone over it and you can hardly tell i have a scar there unless your up close.... GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WEDDING NIGHT... i hope this helps

Why would you want to change the color of your skin?
Be yourself, apparently your man wants you the way you are and that's why he is marrying you. Who cares about what everyone else thinks.
