Defnitely Cali!!!!
avocado bacon chedder burgers, mushroom swiss, all those gourmet and funky burgers come from Cali, where the sun shines bright and the people know good food... In Cali you can get a New York or Texas Burger with onion rings and bbq sauce, but good luck getting a teriyaki pinapple burger in Texas, yo.

I dont think it has anything to do with where you eat it but how its cooked and the type of beef. A great burger can come from any state as long as the person cooking it does it right. The best I think personally come right from home on your own grill.

I don't think it really matters what state - just as long as you avoid the fast food burgers. Best burgers are usually found in smoky bars.
