my boyfriend completely redid and cleaned the apartment, had candles my favorite meal cooked romantic music, flowers, met me at the door gave me a bath, massage, and made the whole night about me. it was glorious.

I once got an anonymous bouquet of roses with a card that said, "I hope these roses make you smile like you make me smile every time I see you."
I live in a small town so I went to the only flower shop and said I lost the card or something so I'd know who they were from.
He didn't know me at all and he never told me he sent them because he found out I had a boyfriend. That was sweet.
This was more romantic, my boyfriend wrote a poem for me. It rhymed and talked about how much he loved me and how we were meant to be together.

This may not sound romantic persay -- but it was something that meant a lot to me.
You see as it stands I work out of town a lot and I travel with work.
No one ever sends me jack sh*t while I'm away from home except my granny and my two best friends.
That said, I love my job but I hate travelling so much these days. I'm a family man.
Well. My significant other found out I was home sick, and missing her and the kids and craving little things I only eat if she gets me( I'm too health concious to by them for myself). So she boxed up several small items from home including some of the goodies she usually gets me, and sent them to me. It made me feel special and so much less home sick. It really helped.

In high school I had a bf who gave me a present every day in February leading up to Valentines Day including writing me a song. He was a jerk though so I'm not that impressed by romantic jestures.

Valentine's day, my boyfriend took me to a nice resturant on the water and we watched the boats go by. He got me roses and chocolate too.
Never had anything done like that for me before.
