All depends what you want to program.
For WebPages there are: HTML, JAVSCRIPT, JAVA, ASP, JSP, PHP, ASP.NET.....
Then for normal programs there are:
VB, VB.NET, DELHI, C++, C#, J#, COBALT.....
For database design you may want to look at:
SQL, PYTHON....
If I could make a sugestion. If you would like to start programming then webpaging would be it. Easy to start can be done from your notepad. Just browse for info on HTML.
