I love my black self but I don't have to hate white people to do so.
Is it a subconscious inferiority complex? Keep in mind the bullies in grade school who needed to berate other children to feel better.

I was asking because I posted a question about an hour ago for research of The portrayal of African Women in Western Societies and got 4 racist websites as responses from people on Yahoo answers. I'm just waiting for one of them to have the guts to answer my question (without the same stupid racial slurs that they used in the last question.)

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment that it is not necessary to tear someone else down to feel good about yourself. That goes for individuals or entire races. All of the bickering back and forth solves nothing. It is a tactic of the weak and lazy mind racked with insecurities. I see it happen here on Yahoo answers from blacks and whites.

I can't help but think that somewhere there are Asians that read this stuff and laugh at us all. Good question.

Being a San Franciscan since 1970, I wonder if those folks you speak of may, for the most part at least, be located away from the 2 U.S. coasts and away from urban areas in general. I think this is just plain fear on their part, fear of the unfamiliar, the unknown. If you grow up living in a mix-race neighborhood, and you go to an integrated high school, you're bound to feel more comfortable with other races, be they Black or otherwise. San Francisco especially is a huge melting pot and everybody gets alone fine nearly all the time. When they don't, it's always gang fighting, not individuals. And that's a whole different story involving, as you say, lack of self-esteem and just plain youthful stupidity and short-sightedness. It would be interesting to know where you live? My thesis may be way off.

I think there are so many factors to look at when it comes to soembody putting you down because of race/ being of mixed nationalities-black and white-i was always told i thought i was better than people becuz i was lighter or had "good hair" which i never thought-people make others feel bad, becuse they feel bad about themselves, or their ignorant, or scared. I believe a lot of people are raised w/ stereotypical view also-you should be proud to be a human being.

I get bullied all the time, i want to do something about it, they are just bigger than me.

I try and make myself laugh but it never works. I want to kick there asses but i just cant. I want to shoot them with a gun but i don't have one. There are 2 types of bullies.
A bully that does it because he/she does it for fun and likes the sensation of bullying and getting laughs, see a bully keeps on bullying if he keeps gettin laughs on the bullied kid.

The 2nd is the insecure bully, like a fat black/white girl would make fun of a skinny white girl because shes an easy target that cant make something back. or an ugly girl talking about a beauty one.

One day ill get my bullies though. you can't solve a problem with ignorant black people, im not racist or grouping anyone...

but the bullies of me are ignorant black and agressive....

Stupid Human Upbringing I guess. Kids live what they learn and pass it on to their children if they don't see the wrong in their doings.

because they have nothing else to do. When your life is empty, then you feel the need to focus on other people because when they look at their life they see emptiness, boredom therefore it creates a sense of importance when they focus on anything else outside of themselves.
