I don't believe someone can ask such an obvious question!

Without a doubt, winning the Champions League is more Prestigious than the any League in Europe! In fact, even EURO does not get the attention that the Champions League get!

Winning a home league is Prestigious in the means of showing that you are better then your neighboring minger of a city.

Winning the Champions League is telling the World that the best game they had on you was on there Sega Genesis!

Champion League is more important. Plus it pulls more rating world wide and is followed more then any other sport organization. The only thing that pulls more ratings is the World Cup, but only every four years.

Of course winning Champions League is more prestigious, because by winning it, you become "king" of Europe, but winning home league just means you are "king" of the country. Victory in Champions League means more money (because your team get money everytime play a match in Champions League), more popularity (because your club's name will be known in the whole continent), and more pride (because your club's name will be written in European football with 'golden letters'). But if I were a manager coaching I club in Champion League, I would not underestimate importance of local league, because in current system, winners of Champions League do not have privilege or 'wild card' to play in next Champions League. It means, if the team do not perform well in local league, just say goodbye to next Champions League.

I'd say that winning your league is more important but if you could win the champions league a lot of people would hear about your team.

Champions League as that give bragging rights that the club or team is the best in Europe. Don't forget that after the preliminary rounds, it becomes a knockout contest so you have to win every round.

the champions league but only by a small margin. in the c.l. you are playing the top 5 percent of europes club teams. your playing against the top players in the world. i mean winning your home leauge is an amazing feet. but you don't need to even win it to get into the champions league.

Both are prestigious in a way, especially if you play in a very competitive league, like EPL.

However, if you aim for financial rewards and world wide recognition, than definitely CL would be the one to win. Take FC Copenhagen for example. Before they qualified for CL, very few knew of this team outside of Europe. Now, they are known to as the team who was the only unbeaten at home in CL 2006-2007.
