well I recently lost a 100 dollar pair of gloves. When we left the ski hill I put them in the trunk of his car and when we got down he handed me my stuff from his trunk. I usually forget alot of stuff in his car and im thinking that he is trying to teach me a lesson. When i asked his girl where they were she said "I cleaned out the trunk and didnt see them". and went on to say that my buddy would call me back when he got out of the bathroom. however he never did. So either he has them or I may have put them down beside my car when I was loading it up, but I dont think that I would have done that. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Well the gloves are gone and you admit to being forgetful--so blaming him is not what to do. learn that you are responsible for your own things---buy some big clips to attach you gloves to your coat. Take a moment to organize yourself when you go out to do anything....or buy cheaper stuff if you continue to lose things. OK__ask just once more--in person and clearly get an answer---if it is no--you have to accept it. Say thanks and maybe find new friends if you can't get past this.

I don't think you can outright accuse him of stealing your gloves if you want to keep him as a friend. I think you are just going to have to pay the price for not taking care of your stuff. If in fact, he did take the gloves to 'teach you a lesson', perhaps he will pony up the gloves soon. Anybody who would make a habit of 'forgetting alot of stuff' especially $100. ski gloves needs to hang out at a homeless shelter for a day to appreciate what they have. Grow up dude.

Take your buddy's gloves. Heh, just kidding. Why don't you ask him about your theory that he is trying to teach you a lesson? Or maybe it was just a mistake or something? I would just ask him, personally. Or, I'd ask his girl about it if that is more comfortable. Good luck!

Ask him and if he says no then since you have no idea where they are, believe him. Why ruin a friendship over gloves.

ya, i know how it feels. the same feel as catching your bike thief and when questioned he says its his and with indecision i can't match details to make a mistake. i don't see you getting them back. if things are stonery moanery then they aint worth sh*# to you and if they fu*! up once, thats it. maintain yourself and your gear and leave not one thing loose.
