I noticed that yellow cards, red cards and suspensions only pertain to the league they are playing in at the time, be it Bundesliga, UEFA Championship or UEFA 2008 Qualifiers ...

Such as Mark van Bommel from Bayern Munich got red carded against Real Madrid in the UEFA Championships. (it was a second yellow card offence) He will only miss the next UEFA Championship game against Milan but he continues to play in all of Bayern Munich's Bundesliga matches.

Confusing but that's how they do it, it depends in what series you are playing in when you get the card. I heard Klose was injured and I saw him sit out last week in a game.

It's got nothing to do with the Swiss match but the fact is: He's not allowed to play due to the 2nd Yellow Card (vs. Cyprus).
