Help my life's on hold until i can make a decision?

Question

I simply cant make the decision to go away for college. i spent a year at my local university which is okay but they dont offer my major. I need to move to a school 7 hours away so i can have the carrer i want. I kno this is easy for most people but i'm a realy family person. ive never been away from my family. I dont think i cound take the separation. i kno this might sound wierd but im scared to be on my own so much that i think i might be sacrificing my future to stay in this "protective bubble"!

I wonder if anyone else has felt this bad about leaving home. I kno the obvious solution is to just go but its easier said than done. I've already missed the deadline for the comming fall during which i'll practically be a junior! i feel like i've wasted so much time!

Hey, RELAX!! You are young, and life does not come to an end if you have not gone on to a major in the subject of your choice!
As you have already missed the deadline, why not relax, enjoy the Sunrise , smell the lilies, and sit watching the swans smimming gracefully on your ponds?
May be, you needed this break!
When we are young, we feel we must keep working GO GO GO and GO, man, GO!
With a little maturity, you will realise " it's no big deal!" A career is nothing but just that...........a Career! We work, and we earn an income, only to help support and ENJOY time with our own dear family!
So..........enjoy this time with your family, relax, and perhaps by this enforced break, you would find God reveals to you what is in store for you!
Decide, incidentally, is derived from the Latin 'Decidere', which means 'To cut and divide'. That is how decisions must be made: Yes or No; Left or Right; Go or Not to Go. Do not dither in a wishy-washy manner...........in case, under those circumstances, IF only this happens, then........ etc. In the Armed Forces, we take all available inputs at THAT point in time, and then decide :" Attack! Bale out! Abandon ship! Quit! Charge!! " and we find happiness in accepting the consequences.
