You will find some cultural issues in Singapore that might surprise you. Singaporeans do not like asking questions if asking the question might infer that they do not know something that others think they should. It is a "face" thing. I have given lectures to both NTU and NUS students and the only questions I received were from Westerners. It does not allow a for a free exchange of ideas that is essential at higher learning establishments.

G'day,

A good answer from the first one.

There are only 39 universities in Australia and they are tightly controlled, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.

In regards to working in Australia, as an international studnet you can only work 20hrs/week during school period and full-time only in holiday period. Therefore you cannot rely on work in Australia to support yourself. However, you CAN work part-time in Australia.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your study :)
