This implies someone would want to change something in the past so that the present would be "better". There is a problem with this. There would be no way to know which path would be taken by my change, if I did know this I would know what the future holds. If I know what the future holds, I would have known the future in the past and there is no reason why I would need to go back into the future to correct it. Unless of course you give me the ability to change things that are normally out of my control. And if you could grant me that I think I would prefer to change the present instead of the past, just because say I change something in the past that some how causes you never to ask this question, and I have get that ability, well then I wouldn't have had the fun of answering this question. :-)

P.S. I'm not sure I'm the best I could be and maybe a change in my past might make for a better life, but it might also mean that I might have never meet the people I love, and so I will take what I have been given and deal with my mistakes of the past.

If I were to change the past then i would not be the same person i am today....maybe you don't agree but i believe there is a grand design...i believe that every experience good or bad prepares you for what you face in your future....would i change my past? No

I had given it tremendous thought! I thought I would "change things" if I had actually taken that advertising sales job at WSIX in Nashville in 1987. But then I realized, I would still have fibromyalgia now and have trouble getting in and out of vehicles. Have trouble riding in cars, trouble walking, unable to climb stairs...my problems would still be here. The events leading to them would just be different!

i agree that everything happens for a reason but i would still change one thing from my past. It is a big thing that would change my life dramatically but I would still definitely change it.

I would like to think so but really, I believe that in every little detail of your past, there was a lesson learned. I'll leave it alone.
