In India this is the time of 10th and 12th std final exams. Parents were worried if their kids will loose concentration or spend time watching cricket. Is indias defeat has made them celebrate.

I don't think it will matter one way or the other.

Most of the questions asked by Indians here are directly from exams and homework assignments anyway. If your sole goal in "learning" is to score good marks on tests, you will have a very sad, unfulfilled life.

It's a great relief for everyone. Things stupidly come to such a standstill. Even bank unions in India have planned strikes to coincide with major super 8 matches.

Hope there is sanity around once both India and Pakistan are eliminated.

If a student wants to get distracted, if not for Cricket World Cup, there are other means to do that. Certainly for parents of school going-***-board exam writing children this is not a shock nor a relief. Certainly it is a shock for the cricket buffs.
