does anyone remenber a 90's cartoon about extreem sport players that happened to be dead?

they had a skeleton guy as thier leader of the group...played soccer primarily...if not the only thing they did. i think they did other things too. pleeease help

MUTANT LEAGUE!!! I loved that show! The captain's name is Bones Justice and his best friend was a green lizard.

They weren't dead - there was a toxic chemical leakage below a sports stadium that mutated all of the athletes.
