I fly kites!!! It is exhilarating and happy! I also love to swim and walk. Swimming will help your knee like it helps mine. Read a book that calls you in a store. Get a massage and use lotion on your body before bed. Use scented candles in your home, vanilla. Buy flowers, real ones, even guys do that. Play more music and put color in your home. Adopt a pet if you can, they are pure love. Let the sun into your home, open the windows and make sure your surroundings are very clean. I also go to lectures by the sierra club and bike and eat fresh food as much as I can. chin up dear.

think of stuff you haven't done a long time that you have enjoyed in the past, even when you were young. Sometimes doing things like that bring you good memories and help you forget about things. If that doesn't help do simple stuff like going to the movies, going shooting, play pool, hang with friends, laughing can help you know. Go get a massage, have sex, and sleep :) Hope that helps a lil, wish you the best!

Relief from stress comes in many forms but all mostly lead to addictions.
The trick is to not let anything stress you out, so you dont have a stress problem compounded by a monkey on your back!

Go to the gym.
Ride the bike, Won't hurt your knee.
Then sit in the sauna for a while.
The physical exercise will release some of that stress.

i meditate, i read, i do yoga, walk, listen to music, work out (low impact i also have a bad knee) call a friend on the phone, play with the dog, etc etc

The people in your life are draining you.
THAT is the answer to your question - Hands down.
You have to ELIMINATE them. If you do, your stress will be relieved.
If you can't do that, not only will I not receive "best answer", you will continue to have stress in your life.

I walk on the beach with my dog...very therapeutic for me..
You could just pull over..enjoy a view..take a breather..enjoy..
