how do i stretch my background image? what attribute is that? if you would, please jot down an example. ty!

There is no way to stretch a background image to fill the available space on a web page. The only options are to tile (repeat) or not tile. There are a few techniques for stretching images, but those are only for in-line images, not background images.

There are some Java codes that will allow the viewer's browser to select different pictures from your site, depending on the size of their screen. But, if you just want more pixels, try using a photo processing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to re-size the image. Quality may suffer, but you can get a screen-filler.
