You described my political views very well (big shock -- I am part of gen. y)... There are candidates that support this view, but they are rare. The Libertarians should represent these positions, but unfortunately Libertarian candidates are usually just far right wingers that have a couple socially liberal views (maybe they support abortion rights or they are against drug laws). As of now it is just the rare fiscally conservative/socially liberal Democrat that I really am drawn to. Otherwise I'm stuck voting for the person that I think will do the least amount of harm - consequently I have never voted for a Republican, even though I do not support gun control laws and strongly believe in the free market.

Baby Boomer, that's me. What has happen the far left and the far right seem to be in control of what we hear. Neither side can see anything but black or white on the issues before them. To them there is no shades of gray. The art of politics is that of compromise, and that is not happening. And we seem to want to have our cake and eat too with ice cream. People scream that they have their "rights." I say with rights come responsibility and that seems not to happen either.
There is no majority candidate because there is no majority. This country is split in half. We need to have someone who can heal the wounds divisiveness, and unfortunately they have not arrived on scene.

I am suppusedly X generation.. I think everything is rigged to convince the public of one thing or another. The medical industry is a maffia and the defense is under diress. The TV has gone sex stupid and the population is absolutely either pissed off, paranoid, or just plain oblivious (by choice).
Which candidate plans to fix it at this point in time?

Presidents are not chosen by the people. It's the illusion of being chosen by votes. Corporations choose who the President will be based on who will provide them the biggest profit during the term. Remember, the person who cast the vote has no power, the person who counts the vote has all the power.

Politics have confused the people on issues. Conservatives and Liberals have mixed party platforms making people look at them as insane.
