looking for an R&B song from the 90's , any help??

i am looking for a song i heard a few times between the years of 1997-1999. it was an R&B song sung by a girl, but i'm pretty sure it was a young girl group. i am sorry i do not know the name of the song or group. the song had something to do with a dream or a girl looking into a mirror and seeing someone she loved, or an appearance? i know this is not much help, but if you have any info, it'll be much appreciated. thank you in advance!

could it be "reflection" by christina Aguilera. from disney's mulan soundtrack. dont know if thas what ur lookin for. just a thought.
