i think scunthorpe was damaged long before WW2.

Scunthorpe was accurately bombed by the Luftwaffe for over three months, at the end it was estimated £7.00 of damage was done!!

Yes it was. German Battle Cruisers did attack the town. The same as Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
