Happens all the time. My heart says bee nice, and then I get stepped on... But that's one of the oldest stories in the book.

Usually I feel dragged down and sad when I have to contradict my heart.
I have a son with some pretty serious emotional issues. He takes meds and is doing much better in all, but he still has boundary issues. When he pushes me and I have to shove back, it really hurts.
He is still my dear son and I cannot give him what he wants when his desires are no good for him.

I don't listen to my heart much, or at least I don't let it make decisions for me. If I come across a problem, I'll weigh both the most logical solution and the solution I feel is the right one, and the repercussions of each. I'll then chose the most beneficial.
