The tub of your Washing machine is unbalanced, try to balance your load. I get the same sound in my washing machine on occasions, there is nothing wrong with your machine, just go and fix the load and restart it will correct it and sound fine again.

If it a metal sounding problem then the bearing may be off or broken. A lot of time to the rubber seal at the front could be bad and let water in the outside or the drum.

I have the same type of washer and it seem like it more trouble than it worth.

Just had a similar problem - turned out to be the drum bearings. Uneven loads will cause this noise but if it happens often then its more likely to be a fault. With the drum empty, open the door and try to turn the drum by hand. If it makes a similar noise and doesn't rotate smoothly then it's probably the bearings.

Not enough clothes in the machine or if it takes awhile to get wound up & take off - too many clothes in the machine.

Sounds like your loads are unbalanced. or it could be the shock absorbers gone. It might be due for a replacement if it is getting on a bit!

You need to change the rubber sleeve surrounding the opening.
