Probably. You might need other people to write in it too, and write down what you say and stuff...ya know?
Or you can just make people up.

That's an interesting question. When you consider that cults still spring up today (like in Waco) then maybe it is possible, but I don't consider it very likely. The exception to this is Scientology and not everyone would consider that to be a cult.
Cults in the 20th and 21st centuries tend to have a short lifespan because of great pressure from the outside. One of the key things that helps a cult to survive is initial isolation, the ability to recruit new members, and the ability to hold onto members, particulary the children once they are grown.
Most people now have the internet which exposes them to many different view points. If a new cult was started then it would only be a matter of time before someone left the group and started to spread negative insider information about them. This is exactly what happened with Scientology. This information would get back to members who are having doubts and would get at least a few to leave. Then there are people who hear the bad information first and then memebers try to recruit them to no success because they have already made up their minds about the group.
Then, there is the feeling of being an outsider. If a child goes to a public school system then they will feel alone because very few people, if any, will share their faith. This would encourage the child to question the teachings of the cult.
Because the world is so connected now, a cult probably won't survive today for very long. The reason why Scientology has lasted is because it was set up very much like a business and the income is in turn used to provide extra resources that a typical cult might not have. Also, the more extreme beliefs of Scientology are kept hidden from new members (at least they used to be).
So, it is possible, but I don't consider it very likely. One of the reasons that Mormonism survived is because they were able to go to Utah and be isolated. Once they were no longer isolated and exposed to a sufficient amount of outsiders, they were so large in numbers that they were able to survive.
So no, I don't think it will happen.

The Mormons believe in Joesph smith and his bible, so I am going to say that it might not even take a thousand years. Sad as it is people are very gullible and will believe anything if it makes them feel better about what they are doing or what they want to do.

Only if you copy the actual bible and Moses don't sue you. And considering he's been dead for a zillion years, you'd probably get away with it - if you're still around in a thousand years.

That's basically how it worked with those crazy scientologists... it's worth a shot - go for it. Be sure to include something about big foot, or the loch ness monster or something... scientologists already took the whole alien thing.

As long as you claim that it was written by a supernatural force, I'm pretty sure people will buy it.
