You are stuck in a long line at the grocery store or dept. store and you are running late? What do you do? Do you leave or wait or what? Just wondering!

I begin scoping for a shorter line, if there isn't one I start scoping for a faster line. Most of the time I seem to get the cashier who has only been at the job for a week. I hate shopping so I don't want to just leave since that would entail me coming back later and doing it all over again. If I am going to a store that I know is going to take forever to get through the line then I make sure I have plenty of time (we have a warehouse store here that is cheaper but I quit going cuz they only ever have 2 cashiers on duty at any given time despite the sheer amount of stuff the sell). If I am running way late and in a hurry and the purchase is like a coke or lunch I will leave and go someplace else...plan b.

I usually just wait.Unless some old timer is taking 20 minutes to write a check.Couldn't they fill that out prior to going to check-out and just fill in the amount when it comes up?
If was really in a rush,I wouldn't be in a grocery store to begin with.

just stand there and read a good magazine..... no need to fuss, there are many others who will doing that in a long line.
think how the cashier must feel? I hate making ppl feel bad.
