Interesting point. 10 games left, Av's are 4 points behind. Next 2 games against a 0-10 Edmonton. Also 2 Flames/Av's games in there. So, they have to take advantage of a hurting Edmonton and could be tie at the end of the week. They also have to beat Calgary outright in regulation time in those 2 match ups. That will be tough when a Calgary team is likely to be playing for an OT win style game. But they won last week by peppering Kippy.

I'm going to go on the line and say Colorado is going to do it. I think I will watch that Calgary/Detroit game to see how that goes.

Vancouver is a factor too. Colorado plays them 3 times. Does Vancouver need to fight for home ice, or do they settle an prepare for the playoffs and maybe rest Luongo?

I'd rather see Barnaby Joe in the playoffs than Iggy anyway.

I think Avs will do it, for the reasons as above and because they changed their style of defense the past couple of weeks and it has been working well. Also they are the hottest team in the NHL right now going to play a team that hasnt won in its past 10 games. Flames next two games are detroit and nashville very hard teams to beat. They will be tied after this week hopefully, then it will get interesting, it will be awesome to watch what will happen and i think it will come down to the two games they play each other.

I dont understand the people that say there is no chance. There is 10 games left and all colorado has to do is win 2 more games than the Flames, Colorado will go to the playoffs if at the end of the season they are tied because will most likely have more wins. Right now colorado has the same amount of wins as the Flames, the Flames just have 4 more overtime loses. How can the Aves have no or little chance?

Even though the Av's are on a good run, it's not gonna be enough to catch up to the Flames. Flames will hold the eighth seat. The West is in lock for who's in the Playoffs. Its still going to be a blast watching how close the Av's can get to the Flames though, especially considering they play eachother in there last game of the season!! :)

Avs. Compare how these 2 teams are doing. Miikka Kiprusoff has been slumping as of late, and Colorado and Budaj have been hot lately. Stastny lost his points streak, and it was at 20, which is still amazing for a rookie. Wolski has to step it up some though, and Stastny has to keep up the great work. Sakic has been very good, so has Hejduk, and John-Michael Liles. Ben Guite is becoming better. I see Colorado beating Calgary in both games vs them, Colorado just seems unstoppable. Everyone counted out Colorado when they were 10 points out, how can you count them out when they are only 2 games out? Avs can pull this off, and nobody gives them any credit after this attempt to make the playoffs for the 16th straight season.

The Flames will hold on to the 8 spot I think and be a real problem for the Ducks ( assuming they hold onto the best record)

The flames will take the last seed, then Deroit will smoke them in the first round.

If an avs fan, then you might as well give up this year. In the words of Aerosmith, Dream on dream on, dream on.

I'm gonna go with Calgary on this one. The Avs smoked Buffalo, though; that I will give them.
