my amp and my bag is totally screwed, so that is why i am getting the pack. i was thinking of getting a 600 doller epiphone les paul studio with a 20W or above amp, but that would be a little bit 2 much... soo it really comes down to this... should i get the player pack or a new amp and the les paul studio?

If this is your first instrument and you are just learning to play and it is in your price range, I say go with it.

But it also depends on the type of music you want to play.

Epiphones with the Dual Humbuckers have a warmer/darker tone to them, good for hard rock/metal.

You could also go with a Fender Squire with 3 Single coil pickups, more for bluesy/Jazzy/country tune. More twang with those pickups.

My first guitar was an Ibanez Gio, It was great. But since I've gotten my Gibson Les Paul (Gibson makes epiphone) and I would never switch back.

Go to a guitar shop and see if they have the guitar to play, always play before you buy.

Good luck!

It depends on your level of playing. I myself bought a Epiphone Les Paul Standard, and I love it. However, the humbucking pickups that came standard with the guitar did not have the levels of pitch and range that I desired. I purchased some new chrome Gibson pickups for the neck and the bridge and honestly, I can not tell the difference between my 200 dollar guitar, and a more expensive 600 dollar Epiphone. I think that it is a good deal you are getting if you are just starting out.

i offered an Epiphone Les Paul one hundred 3 months in the past, because of the fact i don't have the money to purchase a Gibson yet. it is in basic terms a step under a Gibson, they are remarkable. i'm able to jam all day on mine, and the sunburst paintjob is in basic terms captivating. they are critically extra less expensive, yet that does no longer propose they are crap. they are in basic terms made for persons who don't have adequate to purchase a Gibson LP in basic terms yet. it extremely is extremely gig-worth, and common a great guitar.
