Somehow, Lyle Overbay slipped through the cracks in the draft that I just held. I would love to get him (I have the 5th waiver spot, so I may not have the option.) The proble is that I already have Howard, Teixiera, Sheffield and Kendrick who are eligible for 1b. On the other hand, Overbay is a better Util player when either Howard or Texiera has a day off than anybody else on my bench.

Long as your here, feel free to comment on my team in general, as well.

Thanks.

Don't get Overbay... he's not worth it considering you have all those other players available there... plus i can guarantee that another 1B will become available during the year that will put up similar stats to Overbay... keep your waiver claim for when someone drops a player that is worthwhile picking up - quite often in fantasy baseball owners give up on players that are slumping early in the season - jump on one of these guys that you think will turn it around... i got Teixeira that way a few years ago and Santana the year he had a bad first half...

I would drop Burk pick up Overbay and use him and Kearns to trade for another SP or RP. All those offensive guys on the bench can't really help if there are on the bench. Your line up is filled with some serious power so your straight. I would try to beef up the pitching just a little.

For me, it's not worth picking up Overbay. First of all, he is such an average player that will get you a .280 average every year with about 20 homers. Also, who would you drop in place of him? You have too many position players to start with, and not enough pitchers. I would get rid of Burke and Kearns, and find yourself some decent pitchers. Take into account that teams can play for over a week straight, and those position players would not sit. To get a guy that would be used for one game every 2 weeks is quite useless. Since pitchers only play one of five of their team games, it is wise to have more pitchers on the bench than position players on the bench. Other than that, your team will be good. Good picks on Johjima and Kendrick too, sure to be awesome players this year.

i wouldn't pick up overbay, but i would drop chris burke and pick up another starter. you don't seem to have enough pitching to go a whole week. i find it best to pick a lineup, use it all week and let it be...unless you have a bench player that has a game and a starter on an off day of course.

the version is on a double play, the hitter could get to first base. He has no different selection. In a %. off, the runner is already risk-free on first, yet ultimate off to thieve 2d. If the pitcher throws to first, he's not forced out like a hitter because of the fact he has the choice to run to 2d base as a replace. He wont be out till he's tagged. in many situations he will in basic terms dive back to first and keep away from a hotbox subject.

No--it is tough to pass up but you will not get to play all these people, so it is not worth it. You'd be better off getting a quality set up man with a low era/whip and averages about 1 K per inning.
