Have you ever been able to smell rain before it starts. I asked a friend the other day if she could smell the rain comming, she looked at me like i was crazy in the head. I just think that there is a certain type of smell that the air lets off before it rains. Have you found this to be true.

Sure can mmm what a great smell too so damp and fresh (i live in the desert so when it rains its great) - and my knees ache too for some strange reason - true!

Absolutely, and depending where you live, the smell differs. Here, where we are close to the beach, and have high humidity, I pick up a slightly mouldy smell, just before it rains.

Yes, it smells moist and ashy in the air with humidity and I can sense thickness of water vapor in the air .
