but very close. siberian tigers and bengali tigers are larger and stronger than the average african lion. Sometimes lions win in fights, and sometimes tigers. Allthough it is more difficult for the tiger to get past the mane. Also Tigers aviod confrontation at all costs, they want to protect thier body and hunting tools. Mature male lions are more willing to fight, they grew up like this, thier nature is to protect the pride and fight off other males for control over the pride. Tigers only fight when thier territory is invaded or when an animal is attempting to steal thier meal. A Tiger is the largest of all cats.
