The question is WHY is America the greatest country in the world with the understood being "America IS the greatest country in the world". I don't want to see any statements questioning this, I just want to know WHY you think this.

We are the greatest country because it was founded by liberals tired of religion in government. We had many new revolutionary and great ideas that lead to our economy to be superior to others. But now all the other countries have caught up and we are falling back. We have lost touch with our four fathers wishes. And are starting to become the people we ran away from. But I still have hope in my beloved America. We just need to seriously revamp education and think before acting. The truth is we are not number one in anything anymore. But we still have the power to become number one again.

If one were to say that America is the greatest country in the world, then I believe that convenience, liberty, and diversity would among the top reasons for it being the greatest country. Not necessarily in that order. Our defense, military, science, and medical fields aren't too shabby either.

But 'the understanding' ISNT that America IS the greatest country in the world, the assumption in your question is that I think it is. That's like asking me why I think your question is the stupidest I've seen all night. I MIGHT think it is..hell, I probably do, but it's still an assumption.

You can't justify this kind of belief. I refuse to believe it. America's a good country to live in, but I don't consider it "great" in any regard. There's just too much dirty laundry, if'n ya catch my drift.
I can say what I want. That's what makes this country "good," but not "great." Greatness comes from an assortment of actions. Many of which we leave unattended to.
