Headline: "U.S., North Korea reach deal over frozen funds."

While North Korea continues to proliferate their nuclear capability and are able to threaten it's neighbors and even the West coast of the U.S. with a possible nuclear attack, our crack "negotiating team" has once again given up one of our negotiating carrots-on-a-stick in order to quell the threat made by the North Koreans that they would not close their main Yongbyon nuclear facility until all $25 million of its frozen money frozen at Banco Delta Asia was released.

So we released the funds...haven't we "been there, done that" before...too many times before?

It will be interesting to monitor the activities of their Yongbyon facility and see if it does indeed get "shutdown".
North Korea, it's your move.
Any bets?

The U.S. Government will do anything and believe anything. The Chinese have been counter fitting American money for years now and the U.S. Government haven't done anything about it. I find these coins on Ebay all of the time and the Chinese are aloud to scam the American people out of millions. And the North Koreans will continue making their Nukes regardless what the U.S. thinks. The North Koreans have a nut case as a leader and he doesn't care what happens to the world.

basically the us made a stand that we couldn't back up, actually we could but the political will is not there and unless we are willing to go to war over this then there really is nothing to do but negotiate. by being at the table then we can maybe garner more international support for further actions against n.korea. a game of chicken who blinks first

Yes, I think they are duping us. But I am also sure we are watching every deal they are doing. I think they are still trying to trade arms etc. I also think we know they are members of the sps and have this little problem they are overcompensating for. They also make a lot of noise but are unlikely to follow through.
