It's more than a possibility. It's a probability. It may not be life as we know it, but ........in the meantime I'll continue to look for life on this planet.

NO. Why? Even though there is the argument that there are millions of other planets, stars, etc., bear in mind the requirements for sustainable life. Water, tolerable atmosphere, correct gravity, correct distance and alignment with a star, and proper rotation of the planet. There are even more items required, but take into account that there have to be exact specifications to sustain life, even non-sentient. Add to this the one glaring fact that nowhere does the Bible or God state that there is life on other planets. God created life on Earth. I am not a Bible thumper, but this is a valid resource to consider. Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? No. Would I like to be proven wrong? I know I am right, but, hey, I am in the minority with my opinion, but even I will say it would be interesting if life did exist elsewhere. I enjoy Science Fiction, but I still can't help think of the odds against life existing away from our planet. Even the Sci-Fi writer David Brin doesn't think life exists on other planets.

Sure. There are billions of galaxies, many of which have billions of suns; many of those suns have planets. So there are bazillions of planets; it amazes me that anyone can believe that out of all those, only Planet Earth harbors life.
Is some of that intelligent life as we know it? Again, certainly.
Is some of that life on the same time schedule as human life, ie, alive right now and at about our stage of development? Perhaps.
Consider. We think the universe is about 13 billion years old. Human life at about our stage of development has been around how long ? We're not talking about billions of years, are we? Maybe a thousand or two at most?
So possibly there is life like ours somewhere out there right now, but there's no certainty.

Yes, the probability of life existing only on Earth is vanishingly small. It should exist elsewhere.
However, there has been no proof of such life, or the level of civilization they have attained.
I do not believe that flying saucers buzz country roads to kidnap people and then return them to tell their story to the National Enquirer.
