take a handfull, or small amount equal to that, of sugar.
add olive oil by the drop until it is a gritty paste
massage into the skin behind your wiskers by smushing it into parted hair
Use the sugar to exfoliate your skin behind your beard, then wash it out with a simple low residue shampoo, like suave clean and clear.
If you tend to oily skin, you might want to do a final rinse with water containing 1/4 cup cider vinager to a half gallon of water. You will smell a bit like a pickle until it dries completely, but it will leave your beard and skin perfectly clean and pH balanced.
