Nursing pillows work for most people. However, it didn't always work for me. I believe my breasts were too big for it and I'm just too thickwaisted. The one thing I did like about it was that it gave me the option of nursing in the car (parked car, of course) on road trips. It also helped my son to sit up early.

The Boppy Pillow is great for breastfeeding! It's also great for bottle feeding, holding the baby, tummy time, and to help baby sit up. Especially for breastfeeding. It makes it so much easier to hold the baby, even if you don't get the boppy you'll need to have something to hold the baby during feedings. The boppy is great because it'll go around you and the baby will snuggle in it with you (you'll understand when you use it). Many, many nights when my son was first born that I slept in my gliding chair with him and the boppy. I could nurse him and hold him in the boppy and know that if I fell asleep he wasn't going to fall because he was held close to me by the boppy. Just make sure you get one with a removable pillow case you can wash, and a second pillow case is handy too.

I got a boppy pillow free from the hospital, plus my friend gave me one so I guess lots of people do. But for breastfeeding I don't find it useful. It puts the baby up too high for me and it's not very flexible and it's not deep enough (from the part touching your stomach to the outside edge). But it will be useful when my son gets older and I can use it to help prop him up in a sitting position.

Think that the boppy pillow slides around. I really like my breast friend pillow and they now improved it by loosing the Velcro for a quiet clip and they have extra cases that you can buy so you have one to use and to wash. It hugs your body gives you back support and keeps baby comfy and close to the breast as they feed keeps your arms from tiering so you can concentrate on the latch and get your baby eating correctly as far as tummy time goes a beach ball or exercise ball works just as well.

I have a 4 week old daughter and im breast feeding, I registerd for one and was so excited at my shower when i got it. Its much easier, Mine is soft and is easier. holding the baby while feeding is hard. my daughter gets heavy after awhile and the pillow takes that support off. The pillow i got is diff from a regular boppy. Its softer and it has 2 straps which u can sit the baby in to sit in the floor. My daughter loves it . It props her up so she can loo around. I got mine at walmart.

I only used mine to sit on when I came home from the hospital. I wouldnt go without it for that, but never liked it for breastfeeding. I used a little throw pillow.

Yes, but a My Breast Friend nursing pillow is better. (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2402557&cp=2255981.2256161.2256174&parentPage=family) It provides back support that makes a big difference! I couldn't have lived without mine! I didn't even have a Boppy with my first son (had the My Breast Friend nursing pillow). I do have a Boppy for my second son, but hardly ever use it.

YES! I couldn't live without it! I use it to breastfeed mainly. If you don't have one, youll have to prop pillows or something under the baby/your arms when you breast feed or else you back will hurt. You always want to bring the baby to the breast, not the breast to the baby, so the boppy helps do that. I also use it for tummy time, propping my baby on it while looking at something colorful in front of him. It helps when they are learning to sit up too, propping it behind them.

i hated the boppy pillow.. it just got in the way. i used a regular pillow that was softer and that she wouldn't roll off of.. i would look into other types first. It does help alot of people but I won't get it again.

I loved mine in the early months of breastfeeding. Then I figured out how much more comfortable it was to nurse laying down with the baby next to me. From then on, I did all my nursing lounging on the couch, or on my bed. But it was great for tummy time for baby, as well as when she was learning to sit.
