The current USA Attorney General Al "Gonzo" Gonzales wanted to place his cronies into these positions to enhance their resumes for the last two years of the second Bush coup.

The current job holders were targeted since they had failed to pursue polical attacks against Democrats, had not moved fast enough or had initiated investigations of Republicans in power.

Bush's attorney in the white house (white house counsel) has advised to fire the current US Attorneys and Bush lied about that. Karl Rove, the pea brain behind Bush, also floated the idea of firings and replacements as a nice gift to big donors or ambitious associates.

It smells like rotten fish and bad planning. Any wonder the US justice system is dis-organized crime and a shambles beyond repair? pathetic.

Some Republicans went over to the White House complaining about several AG's, primarily to stop several criminal investigations! Firing them was easy as they were appointed, and they didn't need the real reason!

The White House lied about this little fiasco as well, but at least some of the truth is coming out and we may get rid of the Fascist AG!

That sure sounds like Obstruction of Justice to me!

Bush fired a few and he gets raked over the coals for it.

Clinton fired ALL 91 of them and no one said a thing.

Go figure.
