I would and choose NOT to take it as mine.
My friends did however ....these are real....

Tonya Payne married Tomas Glass
Payne/Glass Wedding- Married for over twenty years

Brandy Wood married Stuart Nail
Wood/Nail Wedding- Divorced or splitsville after two years!

Bonnie Greene married Arnold Snodgrass III
Greene/Snodgrass Wedding They have Arnie#4 and two daughters.

Wendy Wood married Richard Rhot (Dick Rot-no joke)
Wood/Rhot wedding Wendy & Dicky have been married 35 years.

Two of these were family members to me
Maiden name Wood......I can go ON AND ON for hours, there were 17 kids and most were hippies..

The oddest named guy I dated was Haung Ngyen Longhurst.
His mother was Vietmese and his father german. He stood 6' tall and was very handsome and terribly culturally confused.

I would still marry him if I loved him, perhaps not take the name myself depending on what it was (Focker?). A rose by any other name...

Yes as long as we're deeply in love with each other, the name is fine.
