Sounds like to still like him. Well, you could call him up and ask him a question about a mutual friend. Tell him you lost someones number and that you were wondering if he had it. After he has given it to you and before you hang up, tell him to make sure he keeps in touch. That is pretty casual and won't make you sound like you want to patch things up. However, I think you do. I no Dr. Phil (thankfully!), but it sounds like you still like him and want to know if he cares. That can be a rough situation too be in. I have liked a girl before, after we had broken up, and it kinda eats at you. Just be careful, and get back out there!

you can sort of casually invite him to something as a friend, where there will be many other mutual friends, and tell him call you later to find out when and where. then when you have him on the phone incidentally you can talk to him about whatever you wanted him to call you about. otherwise, if he wont call you he wont call you. boys are stubborn. i would know. i dont call people unless i have a reason. we actually dont like just calling to say hi.

HI Cuterome, Remember you got a divorce for a reason. I would never have my Ex call me. He was a physical and mental abuser. I don't like him at all !!! A Friend.

Start over. Start from ground-zero and build your friendship with him. It'll be tough, and filled with challenges (but why spoil the surprise?) but if he really means alot to you as a friend, and go the extra mile to do what it takes to understand him his perception. Learn to see things is his eye's view. Then respect that and learn to understand him for who he is. What will happen next totally depends on you, not any of us giving you answers and solutions.

sounds like you need to move on. if he was really a friend, you would be able to have an honest discussion with him.
